The Hex Quadratic Diffuser panel is a versatile product primarily targeting the upper midrange and higher that can be hung in a variety of orientations and patterns to suit the aesthetic needs of numerous acoustic spaces. The innovative design is based on the quadratic diffuser 13 well depth pattern that targets 1675Hz, while its innovative PVC construction and sloped edges allow it to affect a wider range of frequencies. The diffuser contributes to a natural and crisp room tone by lowering echoes and decay time in the mid to low mid-range as well as higher frequencies. Although this product best performs in a room with other treatments, its wide frequency range makes it an effective option for improving the acoustics of more casual spaces where full treatment is not accessible. The lightweight PVC material allows the hex diffuser to be easily hung by command strips (included), or a nail.
In our setup, the Hex Quadratic Diffuser significantly reduced and flattened decay time for frequencies greater than 800 Hz, while flattening the decay less intensively from 300Hz to 800Hz.
